You shall also make a plate of pure gold and shall engrave on it, like the engravings of a seal, “Holy to YHWH.”
They made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and inscribed it like the engravings of a signet, “Holy to YHWH.”
And YHWH will be king over all the earth; in that day YHWH will be the only one, and His name the only one.
How would MLK Jr commit civil disobedience against unjust laws today?
Would taxation from the IRS, BLM, and other agencies be unjust, as taxation without representation?
Would laws allowing abortion be unjust?
Would the use of the people’s resources to fight illegal wars be unjust?
Would the corporate bribery/lobbying of government employees against the people be unjust?
Would laws against the Law of God be unjust?
1 How blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of Yahwah.
2 How blessed are those who observe His testimonies, who seek Him with all their heart.
3 They also do no unrighteousness; they walk in His ways.
1 Woe to those who enact evil statutes and to those who constantly record unjust decisions,
2 so as to deprive the needy of justice and rob the poor of My people of their rights, so that widows may be their spoil and that they may plunder the orphans.
3 Now what will you do in the day of punishment, and in the devastation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your wealth?
4 Thus says Yahwah, “For three transgressions of Judah and for four I will not revoke its punishment, because they rejected the law of Yahwah and have not kept His statutes; their lies also have led them astray, those after which their fathers walked.
5 “So I will send fire upon Judah and it will consume the citadels of Jerusalem.”
1 Paul, looking intently at the Council, said, “Brethren, I have lived my life with a perfectly good conscience before God up to this day.”
2 The high priest Ananias commanded those standing beside him to strike him on the mouth.
3 Then Paul said to him, “God is going to strike you, you whitewashed wall! Do you sit to try me according to the Law, and in violation of the Law order me to be struck?”
4 But the bystanders said, “Do you revile God’s high priest?”
5 And Paul said, “I was not aware, brethren, that he was high priest…”
11 For there is no partiality with God.
12 For all who have sinned without law will also perish without law, and all who have sinned under law will be judged by law;
13 for it is not the hearers of law who are just before God, but the doers of law will be justified.
14 For when non-Jews who do not have law do instinctively the things of law, these, not having law, are a law to themselves,
15 in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them,
16 on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Messiah [Yahwah].
1 Samuel 8:4-20
People reject YHWH
4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah;
5 and they said to him, “Behold, you have grown old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now appoint a king for us to judge us like all the nations.”
6 But the thing was displeasing in the sight of Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” And Samuel prayed to YHWH.
YHWH dispenses judgment
7 YHWH said to Samuel, “Listen to the voice of the people in regard to all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being king over them.
8 “Like all the deeds which they have done since the day that I brought them up from Egypt even to this day– in that they have forsaken Me and served other gods– so they are doing to you also.
9 “Now then, listen to their voice; however, you shall solemnly warn them and tell them of the procedure of the king who will reign over them.”
10 So Samuel spoke all the words of YHWH to the people who had asked of him a king.
11 He said, “This will be the procedure of the king who will reign over you: he will take your sons and place them for himself in his chariots and among his horsemen and they will run before his chariots.
12 “He will appoint for himself commanders of thousands and of fifties, and some to do his plowing and to reap his harvest and to make his weapons of war and equipment for his chariots.
13 “He will also take your daughters for perfumers and cooks and bakers.
14 “He will take the best of your fields and your vineyards and your olive groves and give them to his servants.
15 “He will take a tenth of your seed and of your vineyards and give to his officers and to his servants.
16 “He will also take your male servants and your female servants and your best young men and your donkeys and use them for his work.
17 “He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his servants.
18 “Then you will cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, but YHWH will not answer you in that day.”
People accept judgment; reject YHWH
19 Nevertheless, the people refused to listen to the voice of Samuel, and they said, “No, but there shall be a king over us,
20 that we also may be like all the nations, that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.”
AND SO IT STILL IS EVEN THIS SAME DAY.
And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of Deity. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of Deity, the Almighty. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND MASTER OF MASTERS.”
Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out with a loud voice, saying to all the birds which fly in midheaven, “Come, assemble for the great supper of Deity, so that you may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of commanders and the flesh of mighty men and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them and the flesh of all men, both free men and slaves, and small and great.”
And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh. (Revelation 19:11-2)
After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Praise Yah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our Deity, BECAUSE HIS JUDGMENTS ARE TRUE AND RIGHTEOUS; for He has judged the great harlot who was corrupting the earth with her immorality, and HE HAS AVENGED THE BLOOD OF HIS BOND-SERVANTS ON HER.” And a second time they said, “Praise Yah! HER SMOKE RISES UP FOREVER AND EVER.” And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped Deity who sits on the throne saying, “Amen. Praise Yah!” And a voice came from the throne, saying, “Give praise to our Deity, all you His bond-servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great.” Then I heard something like the voice of a great multitude and like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying, “Praise Yah! For our Master YHWH Almighty, reigns.” (Revelation 19:1-6)
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from Deity, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of Deity is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and Deity Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his Deity and he will be My son. But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:1-8)
I saw no temple in it, for the Master YHWH Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of Deity has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb. The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed; and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it; and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life. (Revelation 21:22-27)
Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of Deity and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of Deity and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him; they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Master YHWH will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever. (Revelation 22:1-5)
Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, YHWH of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths. And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, YHWH of hosts, there will be no rain on them. If the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the plague with which YHWH smites the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths. This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.
In that day there will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, “HOLINESS TO YHWH.” And the cooking pots in YHWH’s house will be like the bowls before the altar. Every cooking pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to the MASTER of hosts; and all who sacrifice will come and take of them and boil in them. And there will no longer be a Canaanite (idolater) in the house of YHWH of hosts in that day. (Zechariyah 14:16-21)
You need to weigh in on the cost factor
And count the cost of being a disciple of Jesus Christ
It will cost you popularity
It will cost you promotion
It will cost you an easy life
You will have to discipline yourself
You will have to say no to temptation
You will have to say no to this world
You will have break with the crowd
You will have to stand alone with Christ.
You will have to be willing to step out of the crowd.
Even if no one follows after Jesus Christ.
You would be willing to stand even if you’re the only person in the world for Jesus Christ.
That’s the cost factor.
You would have to be willing to suffer persecution for Christ
And it will come.
It might even cost your life.
He is not coming to play games or to be docile.
He is coming to dominate and to slaughter.
He is the king of kings and lord of lords.
And at the end of this age he will bolt out of heaven on a white steed.
And his garments are dripped in the blood of his own enemies.
He is coming back to conquer and damn.
You need to make terms of peace with this coming king or you will be subjected in damnation forever.
Jesus Christ has made terms of peace.
You need to settle out of court with him.
You do not want to go into that final day of conflict with Christ.
He will be ruthless in the execution of his justice.
But he offers you mercy today.
He will agree to terms of surrender and peace.
But they are his terms of peace, not ours.
And his terms of peace are very simply this:
“You must hate your own father and mother and brother and sister, and even your own life, more than me. You must take up your cross and follow me or you cannot be my disciple. If you do not, you will meet me in the final judgment.”
And it will glorify God in your destruction.
He is pressing you for a decision.
You must answer to him.
“So then, none of you can be my disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.”
What is the Lord saying?
He’s not saying you have to buy your way to heaven, for none of us has enough gold or silver to remove the stain of sin that has defiled our inner soul.
You must transfer of all that you are and have to all that he is.
Your life, time, possessions, future and treasure are no longer yours, but they are his.
That is how to meet his terms of peace.
Mercy is not purchased with money, but with your surrender to Christ.
Saving faith is coming to the end of yourself, and trusting all that you are and have to him.
This is your eternal soul and the only life you will ever live.
“If salt has become tasteless, with what will food be seasoned?
“It is useless, even for the soil or manure pile.”
It’s not good to anyone – not to God, Christ, the Kingdom, the movement.
You’re not even worth the toilet in your spirit because you have not surrendered and made Christ your Lord.
You have not taken up your cross to follow after him.
“Whoever can hear must hear.”
You need to give strictest attention to the words of Christ.
God has spoken to us in his son.
No one is here by chance.
It is the goodness of God that has allowed you to hear about the suffering of Jesus Christ.
On the cross, he died and became sin for us, that he might purchase our salvation.
And there is salvation in no other person.
There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.
Jesus says, “I am the way, truth, and life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
He is calling to you, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened. I will take you in and receive you. Take my yoke and learn about me. You will find rest because my burden is easy and light.”
You will have the burden of sin lifted off you, and have the yoke of Christ put on you.
We need to search our hearts today.
Have I yielded my life to the Lord, to the one who died for me?
The gates of heaven have been opened to you.
To the one who will take a step of faith and come to him, he says, “The one who comes to me I will in no way cast out.”
But if you come to him, don’t play games. You must surrender to Christ.
